Staff Capacity Building:

Staff capacity building trainings were organized during the year so that the staff works in an effective way and result based and also to enhance the capacity and capability of an individual for increasing the efficiency and effectiveness; to have necessary knowledge skills and resources to enhance their performance productivity and professional growth.

Nutritional Profiling of Children under the Age of 0-5 Years:


Every month’s 2938 children’s profiles were conducted between the ages of 0 to 5. And among 2938 children 2731 are in normal condition, in 40 villages, and 83 are in MAM category and 24 are in SAM category and 100 are in underweight.

Organic & low cost farming

More than 1500 farmers were pursued with the emphasis on organic farming in tribal areas. The farmers came forward to use the vermin compost manure for the cultivation of their crops and the fruit trees in their vicinity.

Kitchen Garden Training:

Special trainings were conducted for the women in 50 tribal and villages to promote kitchen garden in the target villages with special focus on the nutrition. 2000 kitchen gardens were developed in 50 tribal villages by the women to get fresh vegetables in their daily diet.

Skill trainings:

Special skill trainings are conducted for the drop out poor girls and young women like Dress designing, Beauty parlor towards self reliance. It was heartwarming to see the dropout girls from remote tribal village’s girls learning. We appreciate and thank all the benefactors and well-wishers for their support and encouragement.

Nutrition & Health Training to Mothers Collectives:

Trainings were conducted on nutrition and health for the ANC and PNC 1500 mothers in targeted villages, and with our intervention there is lot of improvement in dietary diversity among tribal children and mothers. And also there is an improvement among the children and mothers such as genetic disease like sickle cell anaemia among mothers and children are under control


Nutrition & Health Training to Collectives of Adolescent Girls:

350 adolescent girls from 50 tribal villages were given training on the above topic. So that the girls take care of their health and diet which is essential as they grow and the importance of menstruation and hygiene and also gave complete information to the teenage girls about The physical and mental changes they undergo at their age.


  • 795 farmers are doing low-cost farming
  • 2083 farmers have prepared Lamit, Dashaparni and doing organic farming
  • 589 farmers adopted smart farming systems
  • 1415 people have prepared vegetable seed bank
  • 2498 ANC/PNC mothers and teenage girls plant fruit trees
  • 2399 kitchen garden are developed in 50 villages to increase micronutrient dietary diversity through a continuous supply of sufficient fruits and vegetables to meet family needs
  • 1399 women are including green vegetables in their daily diet
  • 1881 children are blessed with the good health.

Soil & water conservation through food for work & knowledge programme.

Matru Schaya Social Centre had worked towards soil & water conservation in 50 tribal villages, To increase the water level, to improve the soil quality, soil moisture, quality of crops, and also to stop the migration. Every year soil and water conservation work is done in 500 marginal farmer’s field and made the work available at village level for 3500 families.


During the year workshop on legal aid RTI and PRI were conducted to empower the women and farmers.

  • 1836 farmers have received government schemes.
  • 1091 farmers are taking benefits of crop insurances
  • 2434 People started attending gram sabha of gram Panchayats and demanding government schemes.
  • 718 families applied for house scheme out of 718 families 562 families have received the house schemes
  • We have identified 2000 families to improve their living condition
  • Through our activities and daily visits people were conscious about the Gov. Schemes they were also benefited immensely with the hygiene promotion that they have learned how to stay clean, wash hands before and defecation. Safe drinking water was a major concern.
  • Motivation cum Awareness for Dropouts Girls and Boys Most of them tribal youth go for daily labourers and are unemployment MSSC showed potential paths of better livelihood such as tailoring and cutting, beauty parlour and paper plates. The youth are motivated for alternative livelihood and Micro entrepreneurship and skills.
