This Girl child day:

A Girl child day was celebrated on 11th September 2011 to highlight the importance of a girl in the family and in the society. More than 100 girls were gathered to celebrate their day with joy and enthusiasm. The girls were made to realize the importance of their existence on this planet through talks and group discussions. They found the new platform to be themselves and they actively took part in the games conducted for them. They went home with the feeling of Joy, gratitude and self worth

Mahilla Mellava:

Attached file with photographs – you can make it short. Herbal Medicines: A stall was put up in Amravati of herbal medicines depicting the importance of each medicine with its use. The people were happy to known the low cost medicines availability for the various diseases. People appreciated our sisters for their involvement in preparing the herbal medicines and availing them for their use

Forth coming Events:

A medical camp is organized in collaboration with the Kothara Hospital Paratwada on 11th November 2011.This is the diagnostic camp which will help all the poor patients to diagnose their disease and then go for the further treatment. Doctors who are specialized in this field are invited for this camp. Pamphlets have been distributed to the people of surrounding villages to create awareness regarding this camp.

Children’s Day celebration:

Children’s day will be celebrated on 13th November 2011 in one of the tribal village in Akot Taluka. The children are going to speak on the issues of their village with the Tahsildar and the BDO of the place. They will present a memorandum with their signatures. The children are demanding for the repair of roads and for the bus service during their school timings from their villages. Children will also participate in the sports organized for them.

Warli Art for Child Rights

MSSWS organized the Warli Art for Child Rights initiative from 24th May – 1st June 2025 at Modgaon Patilpada ZP School. Using Warli art, children learned and expressed their rights creatively.

25 children participated in sessions on survival, development, protection, and participation. Facilitators guided them to create murals connecting real-life issues with visual storytelling.

CACL Maharashtra State Meeting – Pune

MSSWS, Shilonda hosted the CACL Maharashtra State Meeting in Pune on 6th-7th November 2025 to strengthen coordination among NGOs working on child rights. Participants explored district-level networking. and collective action.

World Day Against Child Labour Campaign 2025

MSSWS organised the campaign from 9 to 18 June 2025 across its project villages to sensitize children, families, and community leaders about child labour and promote education as a right.

Key activities included mobile awareness announcements, street plays led by children, community pledge campaigns, and engaging children through art and Gram Panchayat meetings.

Exposure Visit to CSMVS, Mumbai

MSSWS organized an exposure visit to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (CSMVS), Mumbai on 5th May 2025. 58 students and 18 adults participated, exploring India’s rich historical and cultural heritage.

Activities included guided museum tours, interactive sessions with Stone Age tools, and independent exploration of galleries to enhance learning, critical thinking, and cultural appreciation.

CLC Teachers Exposure Visit – Quest Centres, Jawhar

MSSWS, Shilonda, runs 15 Community Learning Centres for Grades I–V in Dahanu block. To strengthen teacher skills, 13 CLC teachers visited Quest’s Centres in Jawhar to observe innovative, child-friendly teaching methods. Teachers learned participatory, practical, and structured approaches, including group activities and daily routines. The visit boosted their confidence and laid the groundwork for future collaboration with Quest to improve learning across all CLCs.

MSSWS organized a two-day capacity-building training for Shikshandoots (CLC teachers) on 6th–7th October 2025 at Shilonda, facilitated by Mr. Ajinkya Patil from Quest. The training focused on child-centred, activity-based teaching in Marathi and Mathematics.

Matru Schaya Social Welfare Society (MSSWS), together with Educo and Eurofragance India, organized a vibrant Children’s Day celebration at the MSSWS campus. 103 children participated in games, creative activities, and cultural programs, supported by MSSWS staff and 31 Eurofragance team members.

Matru Schaya Social Welfare Society (MSSWS) held a campaign from 9–18 June 2025 to mark the World Day Against Child Labour. It raised awareness about the harms of child labour, promoted education as a right, and involved families, communities, and Panchayats in child protection. Activities like mobile announcements, child-led street plays, pledge drives, art sessions, and Gram Panchayat meetings engaged the community, built children’s confidence, and reinforced the shared commitment to let every child grow up in classrooms and playgrounds, not labour.
